Is “Class Rank” Important In The College Admissions Process?

We all know that college admissions committees usually base their admissions decisions on the following factors: 1) Standardized Test Scores (ACT/SAT Scores); 2) Grade Point Average; 3) Extracurricular Activities; 4) Essays; and 5) Letters of Recommendation…BUT what about Class Rank?  Is “Class Rank” important in the admissions process?
