What Qualities Do You Look For in a Roommate?
Now that you’ve been accepted into college, you have to get use to the idea that you’ll be living with a total stranger in a small dorm room that’s barely big enough for one person, let alone two.
Fortunately, however, you and your roommate won’t be strangers for long. The best way to really get to know someone is to live together.
So, how do you make a good impression on your new roommate?
I asked 10 Cal Poly students what qualities they look for in a good roommate and recorded their answers in the video below.
Obviously it differs per person, but these are good qualities for you to live by so you can be a good roommate.

Awesome post Aaron! I really enjoyed the video interviews; it was interesting to see how different everyone’s answers were and it’s great that you were able to capture such a wide variety of answers and expectations for college room mates. Also enjoyed the quiz at the end, nice touch

Brava Aaron! This was so fantastic. The supplementary text really complimented the movie interviews you put together. It was wonderful hearing from a large variety of people, what qualities they look for in a roommate. It was short and to the point, but still made me laugh. The quiz was interesting too and I am anxiously awaiting my results. Great work!
